HR++ or triple glazing: saving energy with good glass

How to choose between HR++ and triple glazing for comfort and a lower energy bill.

Saving with better glass

Good glass keeps the warmth in and the cold out. With new window frames you choose between HR++ and triple glazing. What is the difference and when do you choose which?

What is HR++ glass?

HR++ glass is double glazing with an insulating coating and noble gas between the panes. It is the standard for comfortable living and considerably lowers your energy use compared to single or ordinary double glazing.

What is triple glazing?

Triple glazing has three glass layers and insulates even better. It is especially interesting for well-insulated homes and heat pumps. It is heavier, so sturdy profiles are needed.

Which do you choose?

  • HR++: a fine choice for most homes
  • Triple: maximum insulation, ideal with a heat pump
  • Also mind good draught sealing and ventilation
  • Combine with PVC or aluminium frames made to measure
